Facebook App Creation

Beyond the basics of making posts on a Facebook Page, there are more things that you can do with it that the average user never figures out how to do.

To begin to utilize this power, you will need to create a Facebook App to get an App ID.

Click on the gear icon in the top-right of your Facebook page. Then click on Manage Apps.

On the Apps page, click the Create New App button towards the top-right of the page. This will open a window that asks for some basic information - an App name, a namespace (URL) for the App, and then a category.

Just provide the information you see below but replace with the name of your own site. Select Apps for Pages as your App Category.

Now, look for the App ID at the top of the page - you'll need this ID for your page App in the next chapter.

Below that you will see the Basic Info section. Here, you will simply need to change the Sandbox Mode from Enabled to Disabled so this App ID can be used.
