Niche Selection
Niche selection is critical to long-term success for a variety of reasons. Primarily because you don't want to spend a lot of time building up in a niche where no one is buying products. You want to focus on niches where people are desperately looking for information and have a problem that they need solved (I need money, I have gout, I have anxiety, etc.) There are a few big niches that will be obvious:
But there are others such as
All of those are relatively safe bets, although consider the amount of competition you'll be facing. Many of you already are in a niche and just want to grow your list with some awesome new tactics. That's fine. If you're really unsure of where to start, I would HIGHLY recommend checking out Reed Floren's course that is specifically related to finding profitable niches. Finding a profitable niche can mean thousands or even hundreds of thousands of dollars in your pocket down the road, and ensuring you build in the right kind of niche is critically important if you're unfamiliar with it. I can't recommend the course enough if you're stumped on niche selection. Check out Reed Floren's How to Find and Research a Profitable Niche Market (that's not an affiliate link; just a great resource if you're looking for a quality course revolving around niche selection.) I've been working in the make money online niche for quite some time, my focus has been on web traffic and website flipping. Web traffic is one of the 3 cornerstones for success in online business and I've spent years developing strategies to get different types of free and paid traffic, many of which have found their way into this course as you'll see. You can be safe and stick with one of these bigger niches however I would recommend potentially testing out some new areas as well if you're feeling adventurous, I do the same thing and have successfully built passive income streams in a couple other niches that convert just as well (desperate information seekers mean desperate buyers of QUALITY products.) This concludes the first step. This one goes quick and is meant to get your feet wet. As mentioned previously (and shown below) there will be actionable steps at the end of each section. These are what you need to have done before moving on. If you're one who likes to hop, skip and jump around a lot, I encourage you NOT to do that as you'll miss valuable information. I will have lots of embedded nuggets of awesomeness throughout the course that you may miss otherwise. Things like stats, tips, tricks and hacks to make your life easier.
