Jobs To Apply For If You Want To Make Money Today

Article Writing - article writing is probably one of the most common jobs posted on freelance web sites. If you have a basic understanding of the English language and you can use correct grammar and punctuation, you have the prerequisite skills to be hired to write articles. Marketers need articles written for tons of different reasons - to be distributed around the Internet, to fill up their websites, to be used in article directories, etc.

With some research, you should probably be able to write an informative article on just about any topic. If you really want to make some money quickly, try to find job postings where the articles are needed in a hurry. These marketers will have lower standards and will be more willing to hire someone that is new to the freelancing website.

BMR Posts - BMR stands for 'Build My Rank'. It is a very popular private blog network which marketers use to help increase their standings in the Google Search Engine Results Pages (or SERPS). Basically, members of BMR write posts of about 150 words which contain one link back to their website. They submit that post to BMR and the system will distribute it out to one of their high PageRank (PR) blogs - giving a powerful backlink to that marketers website.

Every 150 word submission to BMR must be unique and original. It is an incredibly valuable service to people who are interested in organic traffic, but writing 150 word posts can be excruciatingly boring. So, marketers often outsource the writing to freelance web sites. If you are able to write dozens of short 150 word posts on a very narrow topic, you could definitely land one of these jobs.

BONUS TIP: Buy a cheap microphone and use Windows Voice Recognition (already installed on PC systems, just search for it) to speak your articles instead of writing. That's how I wrote this manual. No joke! Speaking instead of writing has saved me hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of labor!

Translation - most freelancing websites (Elance included) have an entire section dedicated to translation. On the Internet, content is never contained to a single area, so marketers often want it to be translated so they can have multilingual versions of their websites. If you speak more than one language, you can definitely land a translation job.

Ebook writing - don't run away with your tail between your legs at the thought of writing an eBook. You don't have to be an expert on the subject of the eBook. All you need to do is be ready and willing to research the subject a good deal. Ebook writing can pay very well because it is a lot of work and not very many people are any good at it.

If you get a job writing an eBook, you can draw inspiration from private label rights* materials and also from free content around the web. Just make sure that you don't plagiarize any material that you don't have permission to copy. On that note as well, if you're using private label rights as source material for an eBook that you're writing, make sure that you only use that PLR as inspiration - you don't want to hand someone a copy of a PLR eBook and pass it off as your own.

*BONUS TIP: Private label rights (PLR) refers to products which come with a license giving you the right to edit and resell the product. Some PLR licenses give you the right to use any part of the product as you see fit. So, you can use a PLR product as a basis for your research.

Editing and proofreading - yes, I was quite surprised when I found out that freelancing websites abound with this type of job posting. People need their informational products, academic papers and other writings to be proof read and are willing to pay good money for it.

If you have an analytical eye, you should certainly be bidding on these types of jobs.

Creating presentations - if you are one of those crazy people that is actually good at formatting PowerPoint presentations, you can make some good money at it today. Many freelancing websites will have job postings where professionals are trying to find someone to help them format or create PowerPoint presentations. These presentations might be for a business proposal or business presentation.

Photography - it is quite common to see jobs asking for someone to take photos of specific objects or locations. If you have a good quality camera and you have some experience snapping photos, you should definitely be bidding on these jobs. You might also be able to find some job postings looking for someone to retouch old photos - that's a skill that you can take straight to the bank.
