About Tumblr

Some information about Tumblr and the people who are on it.

Tumblr is a micro blogging service in which you can with just one account you are able to create multiple blogs. But instead of Facebook / Twitter Tumblr isn't the social media network in which you add your friends (sometimes) but not your parents / boss / relatives etc. Tumblr is a more personal and anonymous social media network.

So what may you do?

Basically... everything :)! At least, as it is legal. Tumblr allows everything from pictures of cute dogs or Lamborghinis to poems and hardcore porn. Though most of the people think Tumblr is just a thing where gay (nothing bad intended) and women come together there is a large range of people who use Tumblr.

Why don't internet marketers use Tumblr?

I have no idea. It might be since Tumblr doesn't let you away with anything these days. I mean in the early days you could start a Tumblr blog and post your affiliate link 100000000 times a day without posting anything else. Tumblr now wants real content. Which for us is nog problem since we are going to scrape pictures (free) from other Tumblr accounts.

Some small facts about Tumblr:

Tumblr is (according to Alexa.com) the 37# biggest site in the entire world, and 22# in the USA. And still growing higher in the ratings.

Tumblr is also amazing because it allows to have advertisements placed on the Tumblr page You can edit the Tumblr page's HTML and add your ads to it. Just don't overdo it (not too much) but a few ad blocks are great, even though internet marketers say you shouldn't. I have contacted the Tumblr support team and they said they totally allowed it.
